Andrew Flannigan
Andrew Flanagan is the founder of the MDI Community Woodbank and serves as its Board Chair. A self-employed arborist and volunteer firefighter with the Mount Desert Fire Department for 17 years, Andrew has spent his life caring for both trees and people. Known for his big heart and steady willingness to lend a hand, he brings deep dedication and contagious enthusiasm to everything he does for the community.

Linda Lunt
Linda Lunt is a Licensed Social Worker with the YWCA of Mount Desert Island, where she supports community members with their physical and mental health needs, as well as basic resources. At the Woodbank, Linda provides a compassionate bridge for neighbors who may need extra assistance, following up privately and helping connect them to the services and support they need.

Barbara Baron-Gifford
Barbara Baron-Gifford is a longtime Bar Harbor resident and retired educator who has devoted her time to serving the Mount Desert Island community. As an active leader with the MDI Hospital Auxiliary, she helps drive fundraising and community initiatives that make a real difference for local families and neighbors. Barbara is passionate about supporting the people and institutions that keep our island strong and connected.

Natalie Jade Hinckley
Natalie Jade Hinckley has been sailing to Mount Desert Island for years and finally dropped anchor in Southwest Harbor in 2022 with her young crew (aka her family). A true “jill of all trades,” she’s cooked aboard yachts, captured life through her camera lens, and jumped headfirst into helping the Woodbank, building its website and spreading its mission far and wide. Natalie loves her community and everything the Woodbank stands for, and she’s always ready to roll up her sleeves to make a difference.

Maria Chad Kessel
Maria Chad Kessel holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on nonprofit management and has a lifelong commitment to community service. She has served on boards and volunteered with numerous organizations, including The Carter Center, Atlanta Community Food Bank, Bar Harbor Food Pantry, YWCA, YMCA, and MDI Hospital. A Bar Harbor resident since 2006, Maria managed Geddy’s by the Sea for 21 years and previously ran her family business, iQ Squared, Inc. She is honored to support the MDI Community Woodbank and its mission to serve the community.
